entropy  [en-truh-pee]  a: the degradation of the matter and energy in the universe to an ultimate state of inert uniformity  b: a process of degradation or running down or a trend to disorder; synonym: chaos, disorganization, randomness
Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary 10th edition

According to this, there is a constant state of disorder/ chaos happening around us, within the context of the environment both natural and built.  As the universe "trends to disorder" we as designers, attempt to counteract this certain chaos.  Whether through a more controlled chaos or a highly ordered system, it is one based on scale, proportion, light, texture, tectonics- Architecture.  This is the reversal of entropy.

A lifestyle- an understanding of our role in the universe although small, can be subtly significant.  Every conscience decision we make should work toward bettering our lives and lifestyle.  Nothing embodies the idea of the reversal of entropy more than the creation of buildings and good design.
